When you meditate, you inject far-reaching and long-lasting benefits into your lives. By meditation - you lower our stress levels, you get to know our pain, you connect better, you improve our focus, and you're kinder to ourselves.
Meditation gives you peace, gives you a bright power, gives you a healthy mind, gives you a healthy body.
Meditation gives you to make better choices for yourselves, your families, and your communities. And the most important, meditation gives you to bring a little patience, some kindness for yourself, and a comfortable place to sit.
How to meditate
1. Take a seat:
Find a place to sit that feels calm and quiet to you.
2. Set a time limit:
If you’re just beginning, it's better to you to choose a short time, like 10-15 mins.
3. Set your body:
You can sit in a chair with your feet on the floor, you can sit loosely cross-legged, you can kneel. Just make sure you are stable and in a position you can stay for a while.
4. Focus your breath:
Focus on the sensation of your breath as it goes in and as it goes out. Feel your breathing peacefully.
5. Try to control your mind
Inevitably, your attention will leave the breath and wander to other places. When you noticing that your mind has wandered in a few seconds, a minute, five minutes : simply return your attention to your breathing and try to control your mind.
6. Feel your kindness:
When you’re ready, gently lift your gaze (if your eyes are closed, open them). Take a moment and notice any sounds in the environment. Notice how your body feels right now. Notice your thoughts and emotions.
Did you notice how busy your mind was even without consciously directing it to think about anything in particular.
