Ques.1. The cricket says, "Oh! what will become of me?" When does he say it, and why?
Ans. He said when he find out that his cupboard was empty and winter has come. So, there is no food to be found outside on the snow covered ground.
Ques.2. (i) find in the poem the lines that mean the same as "Neither a borrower nor lender be".
Ans. "But ants never borrow; we ants never land".
(ii) What is your opinion of the ants principles?
Ans. I agree with the ants principles that we should never borrow but we should lend to those in need because it is our moral duty to help others.
Ques.3. The ant tells the cricket to "dance the winter away". Do you think the word 'dance' is appropriate here? If so, why?
Ans. Yes the word 'dance' is appropriate because the cricket would be felt shivering due to cold and hunger.
Ques.4. (i) Which line in the poem express the poet's comment? Read them loud.
Ans. 'some crickets have four legs and some have two'.
(ii) Write the comment in your own words.
Ans. The poet means to say that the human who waste their time in idle pleasures have to suffer in the end.
